Welcome to Theoretical Ecology Lab! We develop new theory and conduct theory-driven empirical analysis to address real-world problems, particularly predicting the ecological consequences of global environmental and biodiversity changes. One challenge in addressing these problems, is to develop a synthetic ecological theory that integrates closely related, yet have separately developed subdisciplines, e.g. community ecology, ecosystem ecology and landscape ecology. Our research aims to contribute to such a synthetic theory.
