张开，浙江丽水人，北京大学政府管理学院政治学系博士研究生，研究领域为政治理论和西方政治思想史。博士论文关注托克维尔政治思想的宗教维度。我的相关研究发表在《政治学研究》《北大政治学评论》《云南大学学报（社会科学版）》上。我希望将历史文本有机地转化为当代的智识资源，为现代人的政治思考提供一些有益的借鉴。

I am a first-year PhD student at Peking University, studying and researching political theory and the history of political thought. My publishing covers a wide range of topics, including Machiavelli, political realism, Tocqueville, etc. My doctoral thesis (though I haven’t started drawing up) is focused on Tocqueville and the French liberalism tradition of the early 19th century. My primary academic concern is organically transferring historical texts to contemporary intellectual resources; I hope it could provide some but still meaningful insights into our changing political world.
