Research Interests and Achievements:

Prof. Wei is interested in two research directions: (1) the novel properties of nanomaterials and their relationships with the nanomaterials composition and structures, (2) on-chip electron souces and vacuum electronic nanodevices. In the first direction, he works on in-situ property measurements of single nanomaterials in an electron microscope, aiming at revealing the novel properties of nanomaterials and their relationships with the nanomaterial composition and structures.  In the second direction, he  is devoted to devolop high-performance on-chip electron souces and vacuum electronic nanodevices based on nanomaterials and microfabrication technologies. He has totally published more than 60 peer-reviewed SCI papers with more than 1400 other-citations. As the first or corresponding author, he has published 16 papers on the top journals with IF>10, e.g. Nature Communications, Nano Letters, Advanced Materials etc.
