Bio

Dr. Guo is currently an Associate Professor with Tenure, Research Professor and Ph.D. Supervisor at the Institute of Population Research, Peking University. She also serves as Deputy Director of the China Center on Population Health and Development at Peking University, and is a recipient of the National High-Level Young Talent Program. She earned her Doctor of Law degree from Peking University in 2016. In 2011, she obtained a Bachelor of Medicine degree and a dual Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Peking University. Her research areas include demography and life-course research, population health, health economy, policy and program evaluation, environmental health, and health research method. Dr. Guo is the principal investigator of several grants, including those from the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the National Social Science Foundation of China and the Beijing Municipal Social Science Foundation. She serves as the Secretary-general of the Disability Prevention and Control Committee of Chinese Preventive Medicine Association and a member of the Committee on Injury Prevention and Safety Promotion, Chinese Association of Health Promotion and Education. She has published over 150 academic papers in international and Chinese journals such as the Lancet Planetary Health, Science Bulletin, American Journal of Public Health, and others. She is a Youth Editorial Board Member of MedScience and Associate Editor of the International Journal for Equity in Health. She also serves as a reviewer for numerous prestigious journals, including The Lancet Regional Health, Bulletin of the World Health Organization, and BMJ Public Health, among others.
