To provide an overview of the energy system and the energy-pollution-climate connections, and to explore the options for sustainable development. As one in "On China Series: English-Instructed Courses", this course introduces particularly China's situation and its energy-related environmental challenges. Field trips to the renewable-energy facilities near Beijing are included.
