This article reports a reactive transport modeling study of enhanced rock weathering (ERW) in soils as a negative emission technological option. The study explores a range of biochemical-physical factors in controlling the efficiency of ERW, and shows the importance of co-optimizing siting and engineering operations with considerations of the environmental controls.
