高级计量经济学 (II)

This course discusses some of the most frequently used econometric methodology and techniques in applied microeconomic research. The course teaches the econometric theory behind these techniques and requires reading of empirical research papers applying these techniques. The topics covered include randomized experiment, matching methods, instrumental variable approach, difference-in-differences method, panel data models, discrete choice models, regression discontinuity design, regression kink design, bunching estimation, duration model, quantile regression, and other program evaluation methods. To supplement the lectures, we will study published empirical papers during the seminar session of each class, which provides examples of implementing the above estimation methods. In addition, you will get hands-on experience in conducting research by completing an empirical term paper.
