This is an innovative, comprehensive course that integrates both theoretical knowledge and laboratory experimentation. Unlike conventional Plant Physiology or Botany lab courses, the plant materials used in this course are primarily cultivated by the students themselves. In the first week of the course, students will learn about and begin planting their own experimental plants. The subsequent curriculum is designed around the growth stages of these plants; as the plants develop, the corresponding physiological processes are explained in class, and students use their own plants for relevant experiments. Beyond scheduled class time, students are expected to care for their plants, experiencing the full cycle of cultivation and the joy of harvest.

与常规的植物生理学课程或者植物学实验课程不同，本课程中所用到的植物材料主要来源于学生自己培养的植物。在开课的第一周，学生们将通过学习并种植属于自己的实验植物。之后的课程会根据实验植物生长的不同时期，讲解对应的生理过程，并应用自己种植的植物进行相关实验。在授课时间之外，学生们还需要利用课余时间照顾自己的实验植物，体验养成与收获的乐趣。
